SUSTAINABILITY POLICY

Talking about sustainability can be confusing. A lot of companies use it as a buzzword rather than actually creating sustainable practices, and others use it to justify actions that aren’t all that great.

It doesn’t have to be complicated. Here is our sustainable philosophy.

The way we see it, something is sustainable if it can meet someone’s current needs without taking away the ability for people in the future to also meet their needs. How does this work? In three simple parts:

  1. IT’S ABOUT PEOPLE
  2. IT’S ABOUT THE EARTH
  3. IT’S ABOUT THE ECONOMY

Of course we want to make sure that our projects and initiatives protect people and the earth and the economy. Above all, we want to make sure we are doing something that will improve someone’s material condition.

In reality, the world is set up in such a way that a lot of horrible things happen to good people. Rather than trying to come up with solutions that are perfectly sustainable, long-lasting and sound every time, we will always try our best, but with understanding that things won’t always be perfect. And that’s OK. There is always room to grow, but the fear of doing something wrong won’t hold us back. It will inspire us to learn and grow and change, all the while doing the most good for the most people that we can.
